Lynton Mortensen, ANZIIF (Fellow) CIP, was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory and the High Court of Australia in 1990.
He has fellowships in general and life insurance through the Australian & New Zealand Institute of Insurance & Finance.
Lynton has extensive experience in policy drafting and advice.
He provides detailed advice to insurers and brokers on risk management, the Insurance Contracts Act, the Financial Services Reform Act, the Trade Practices Act, the Life Insurance Act, the Corporations Act and other relevant insurance legislation.
He has been involved in large scale, complex indemnity and catastrophic claims. He has assisted extensively in co-ordinating claims and disaster management in major catastrophes.
Lynton is a past chairman of the Brisbane Insurance Forum; a past treasurer and committee member of the Australian Insurance Law Association, Queensland branch; and a past vice-chairman of the Life Insurance Discussion Group.
